Mission and vision
Project Woman is dedicated to ending domestic violence and sexual assault by providing services and program to protect, educate and empower. Initially founded by volunteers in 1974, Project Woman is a nationally accredited non-profit [501c3] domestic violence and rape crisis center.
We offer a full range of programs that are trauma-informed and non-victim blaming. These include 24/hour crisis & help line, emergency temporary shelter, supportive housing solutions, empowerment, and advocacy. Additionally, Project Woman provides community advocacy, prevention, and education to promote awareness and social change necessary to end gender-based violence.
Our vision is to ensure access, bridge gaps, and build a community that stands together against family and gender-based violence. To do this, we must remain a highly respected, fiscally sound, values-driven agency staffed by dedicated, competent and caring professionals.
