In 2010, Project Woman provided the following services:

  • in our shelter, 4,623 bed nights were provided for 195 survivors and their children 
  • 214 clients received 554 hours of counseling
  • 1,029 calls were received on the 24-hour Crisis Line 
  • 25 clients and 28 children lived in Chrysalis Manor, as well as 6 women at Women's Transitional
  • our victim advocates helped 405 clients navigate the criminal justice system
  • 1,400 people received presentations about healthy relationships
  • 32 organizations and groups received literature
  • 92 presentations were given to the community

  • About 44% of rape victims are under age 18, and 80% are under age 30.

  • An estimated 1.3 million women a year will be physically abused by their partner
