April 10th 2010
It is never too early to start training! Project Woman is hosting a 5K run/walk on April 10th , 2010 at 10:00am at Buck Creek State Park. The event is being held in April in recongition of Assault Awareness Month. We want to bring awareness to our community and show support to those who have been affected by sexual assault. All proceeds will help Project Woman continue to provide services for sexual assault survivors. The pre - registration fee is $15 (race day registration is $20), which includes a t-shirt, snacks and drinks. Runners will receive certificates displaying their official time and awards will be given out to top finishers. Help us take a stand against sexual violence. We challenge you to find at least 11 others to walk/run with you on team. Teams select a team name when registering, which is printed on their t-shirts. Children under 13 walk for free, strollers and dogs on leashes are welcome.
