Community Outreach / Training

 

Project Woman offers community outreach and training programs that are focused on providing information, education, and awareness on issues related to domestic violence and sexual assault.  Staff provides specialized trainings to law enforcement officials, social services providers, health care providers, and concerned citizens.

 

Outreach presentations are free of charge.  To schedule a presentation, call (937) 328-5308.

 

 

Prevention for Youth: 

It is imperative that our young people learn and talk about relationships.  Project Woman (in collaboration with Community Health Foundation) offers a program for youth addressing positive relationships, dating violence, and sexual assault.  ALL READY! can be presented in schools, clubs, after-school programs, etc.    

 ALL READY! includes 5 sessions:

     - Positive Relationships

     - Recognizing Abusive Relationships

     - Preventing Abusive Relationships

     - Sexual Assault Prevention

     - Effective Communication

Teachers, Social Workers, Therapist/Counselors,
and School Administrators:

What: 

1-3 day presentations/trainings on how to prevent, identify,
and make referrals for domestic violence, sexual harassment,
harassment, and dating violence that occurs in schools. 

When: 

These presentations/trainings can be offered during, before
or after school, and staff meetings. 
Monday through Friday Evening and weekend hours available
upon request.

 

Parents:

What: 

1 day (30min. – 1 hour) on how to recognize if your child is in
an unhealthy relationship, and what you can do internet/computer
safety, and effects of children exposed to domestic violence. 

When: 

These presentations can be offered during, before or after school,
and at parent meetings. 
Monday through Friday Evening and weekend hours available
upon request
